About the Author Night owls are in my family tree. Both my parents worked nights. My mother worked as a night nurse at Children's Hospital in Boston. My father was a Port Relief Captain in the Brooklyn Navy Yard. I met my husband while working the graveyard shift at a burglar alarm company. All our children had a difficult time in the dark and were not very adept at falling or staying asleep.
And, I am writing this at 4 AM. Writers and artists work nights too. About the photographer
